The Collaborative for Health Sector Strategy (CHSS) is a knowledge production and knowledge transfer centre located at the Rotman School of Management (RSM) at the University of Toronto.
It has the following objectives:
Policy Research & Advising
- Advise on the design and governance of the health system in order to support a tight link among responsibility, authority, and accountability.
- Provide evidence-based insights to help shape the changing direction of the Ontario healthcare system.
- Provide analysis necessary to government to effectively allocate resources and monitor provider and system performance.
Applied Research & Evaluation
- Develop and share evidence on the role and impact of incentives at all levels of the Ontario health system.
- Measure, analyze, and report on the productivity of the Ontario health system.
Leadership Development
- Provide training and development opportunities to build the business skills and managerial capacity of Ontario’s clinical and administrative leaders.
- Promote health system partnerships.
